Jennie J. Gallimore, Ph.D.

Dr. Gallimore received her Ph.D. in 1989 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VA Tech) in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, specializing in Human Factors Engineering. She is President of HumanWise, Inc. and a Full Professor of Industrial and Human Factors Engineering at Wright State University. Dr. Gallimore is also the Director of the Ohio Center of Excellence for Human-Centered Innovation at Wright State University. 

Dr. Gallimore applies human factors engineering principles to the design of complex systems. Example research domains include aviation, health care, Unmanned aerial systems, interactive visual displays for command and control in all domains, and human performance in virtual environment to name a few.  

Dr. Gallimore has received over 3 million dollars of grant funding from various organizations. 

Recognition
  • 2011 - Named one of the Top Ten Women in the Miami Valley
  • 2010 - Outstanding Engineer and Scientists award for Human Factors Engineering, Affiliates Society Council
  • Three of her Ph.D. students received the Stanley N. Roscoe award for best dissertation in Aviation Human Factors (2001, 2003, 2007).
